Here’s why Black Panther: Wakanda Forever might be the best MCU PHASE 4 movie

According to me, the title of the current best movie of Phase 4 sits with Spiderman: No Way Home. While the Doctor Strange 2 sits on the second spot. Also, the current earnings for Phase 4 movies are in the same order.

  1. Spiderman: No Way Home — $1.9 Billion USD
  2. Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness — $955.8 Million USD
  3. Thor: Love and Thunder — $760.2 Million USD (Pure luck? Should have been Shang-Chi)

Spiderman: No Way Home made a huge profit merely because of the hype Marvel created for this movie from 1 year. Apart from this both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire were also a huge factor for its earnings. The plot was hit and miss but it worked.

If you take out the 2 extra Spideys, this movie wouldn’t have been so great because it would have lost its charm.

Apart from this the main reason why this movie takes place is because Doctor Strange decided to help Peter Parker in the first place. This was very unlikely of Strange but Marvel somehow got away with this.

Coming to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, this movie has already got some interesting elements required for a great movie.

  • Emotions

Unlike the events of Spiderman: NWH, the events of this movie doesn’t take place because of someone acting unusual. Rather, this movie takes place on a serious note as Wakanda is mourning the loss of its King. (So, did the world. We lost Chadwick Boseman so the initial scenes are going to hit hard.)

Similarly, Namor’s home on the other hand is disturbed by a group of scientists who are looking for Vibranium.

So, Talocans are angry whereas Wakandans are grieving and struggling.

  • Enticing Details

Ryan Coogler is adapting a very unique approach for this movie; the hint for which can be found in the movie’s release date itself.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to release on 11th November. This translates to 11:11 and has 2 reasons behind this.

  1. In a biblical verse, 11:11 refers to a catastrophe which is about to come. In this movie, this catastrophe is Namor attacking and destroying Wakanda
  2. 11:11 also mirror each other the same way that Wakanda and Talocan do. Both have been hidden from the world and have advanced Vibranium technology.
  • Mystery Characters

Now, the trailer reveals nothing about it’s villain who is Attuma. Namor is an anti-villain but in the end he will realize everything he’s done.

We’ll also see Killmonger (in the Wakandan Ancestral Plane) who’ll help her become the Black Panther.

But the major character reveal which we’ll probably get in this movie is for Doctor Doom. He’s the reason why the events of this movie take place and this will be revealed in the end.

These three factors itself make me feel that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has the potential to be the best Phase 4 movie in terms of Box Office Collections as well. This will be further supported by Music, Action and VFX which were pretty solid in the first installment as well.

It’s just a matter of time until we see how Marvel Studios has used all of this in the 161 minute runtime that this movie has.
