The series begins with us getting a glimpse of Ethan Hawke’s character Arthur Harrow involved into something darker. We will get to see what Arthur’s past as the series progresses.

Then we get into the life of Steven Grant who works at a museum in England. Everything in the first episode was exactly as I had mentioned in my post. The series is just trying to throw us off the topic. The first episode makes us wonder as to what is happening with Steven Grant.

Just after that we see Steven waking up in an unknown location in Egypt. That’s where the series picks itself up. The character switching between the two personas is just phenomenal. I know that at the root its just editing the right scenes. But when you look at it as a whole it looks awesome.

The quality of the effects has been downgraded. The vfx in the background in the car chase scene was very shabby. But that’s the downside of getting to see the works of Marvel Studios on a small screen.

The rest of the episode again tries to give hints of Steven Grants’ dark past. We also get to see and hear Khonshu.

The episode then ends with Moon Knight finally taking control over Steven Grant’s body setting the base for the rest of the series.

So, a slow and steady start for Marvel Studios’ dark character.
