The Real Reason why there are so many TIME related movies

Here’s Christopher Nolan’s answer as to why most of his movies are based on TIME:

People often ask me why I’m interested in time; well because I’ve lived in it. We feel very trapped in it, it’s like we try and hang on to the moment, we take photographs of everything, we desperately want to hang on to this reality and it recedes.

What time travel allows us to do is to say ok, but what if we could? What if we could preserve that moment? What if we could revisit that moment?

This in general answers is the real reason why there are so many movies related to TIME.

The possibility of WHAT IF is fascinating and hence movies using the concept of time almost carry a different vibe with it.

There’s more to this when it comes to Marvel Studios.

By adopting the concept of Multiverse, it gives Marvel a unique power; to make every Marvel movie ever made canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But they can still get new actors to play the same character.

There’s also a psychological reason which I might have never known if I hadn’t developed the habit of reading. I’ll base this reason from ‘The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck’:

Did you ever get overtaken while driving by a rash driver and imagined yourself beating the shit out of that person?

OR

Did you ever imagine a troublesome situation where you saved the day while being the hero?

This is called a hypothetical situation. We as humans are blessed with the ability to imagine ourselves in situations which can never happen. We’ll also think about undoing something in the past and imagine (what if I hadn’t done Engineering?).

In short we sometimes can’t help but imagine about other realities where things might have worked out differently

Writers/creators just use this unique ability and put this on paper. Their works of creation are then known as Books, Scripts or Comics which may or may not become movie adaptations.
